Happy 4th of July!
We had a very happy 4th of July! This was our first 4th of July celebration at home (not at the beach), but we managed to have a really fun, family weekend. Uma and Pops joined us for part of the weekend, we spent lots of time at the pool, and the boys played a little baseball with Daddy. Here are a few pictures of the festivities.

Sam checking out the bottle of Coke that we were getting ready to explode. I guess this was our version of fireworks. : )

Blueberry Picking
We went blueberry picking this morning! The boys really had a fun time. I thought by going at 9 AM that we would beat the heat... I was wrong... after berry picking and spending 3 hours in the pool, I think we are just now cooling down! I guess we'll make something yummy for the 4th of July with all the blueberries!
Here are the boys hard at work!

Not sure if ya'll remember the photo or not, but one of my all time favorite photos of the boys is from when we went blueberry picking last year (they are so hot and just worn out). You can go back and look at the blog from July 2010 to check it out. Anyway, when attempting to recreate it - here's what I got. : )

Rainbow's Nursery
After what Will called "a lot of work for a little baby," I think we are pretty much finished with Rainbow's nursery (except for putting up a new light fixture and a door knob). : ) I am so happy with it. I have pulled pieces together for the past 5 months and luckily they all came together nicely. Our home renovation went perfectly (we gained a new bedroom) and all the pretty, girly things were fun to put together. A big thanks to Uma for all her help too!
Here are a few snapshots of the PINK in our house. I still can't believe we have a pink room...
These prints are on the wall above the glider. The boys each painted a Rainbow for their little sister. This is one of my favorite things in the nursery!

Her changing table and dresser...
Her crib... I never found anything that I really loved in any catalogs so this creation was after lots of searching for fabrics and finding all the pieces that coordinated. Uma was planning on making all the bedding for me, but was able to find a lady in Macon that did a beautiful job. Uma made the beautiful drapery and helped with the design and creation of the bedding! : )

Ohhhh, I guess we can play the name guessing game. We have decided on a name (other than Rainbow). We were hanging the monogram and Will asked "what is that?" We explained that it was Rainbow's initials. He said "How do you know her initials if you don't know her name yet?" We hadn't mentioned her name to the boys yet so it was quite funny. Later that day when daddy got home we had a family discussion about her name. The boys love their sister's new name although I am somewhat convinced they will call her Rainbow forever. : )

Fun Water Weekend!
The boys had such a fun weekend! They enjoyed lots of water fun! They had a swimming birthday party, a neighborhood summer kickoff party at the pool, and lots of fun outside with Daddy! The boys had a big water balloon battle with Daddy... check out these happy faces!
Will liked defending himself with a tennis racket...
Party for Baby Rainbow!
My sweet, sweet girlfriends threw the best party for Baby Rainbow. I wouldn't let them do a "shower" so they threw a fun family party with fun rainbow decorations and foods (rainbow cupcakes, rainbow covered pretzels, skittles, rainbow fruits, rainbow lollipops, rainbow goldfish, and rainbow skittles, and super cute decorations)! Plus, we enjoyed a yummy mexican dinner. It was so sweet! The adults and kiddos had a great time.
Here are a few photos of the fun!
Don't we look just like we did in college (over 15 years ago)? hee hee! : )

Will's Kindergarten Graduation
I can't beleive my little boy, Will, graduated from Kindergarten! He's a 1st Grader!!!!
They had a nice ceremony for his Graduation. They gave out little awards, performed a song, and got their diploma. Will got the award for "Most Outgoing" in his class! His teacher said it was not a hard one to come up with.... : ) All the kids were precious!
Here is Will's class on the last day of school.
